Executive team
While the Bennelong Group’s individual businesses are managed autonomously by their respective executive teams, the Bennelong Group’s broader interests are managed by the Group’s Executive Team. Following the resignation of Alison Watkins from her role as Chief Executive Officer, Chris Cunningham has been appointed Chief Executive Officer effective 30 June 2010.

Chris is Chief Executive Officer of Bennelong Group and has 15 years experience in financial management, accounting and finance. Chris joined Bennelong in May 2004 as Chief Financial Officer where he was responsible for the finance, compliance and company secretarial functions of the Group. He was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer in July 2010.
Prior to joining Bennelong, Chris was a Director within Deloitte’s Growth Solutions Division where he spent 10 years servicing middle market businesses. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, holds a Bachelor of Business degree and has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment with FINSIA.

Susan Frances, General Manager, Bennelong Foundation
Susan is General Manager of the Bennelong Foundation. After a long and varied career in insurance, finance and the manufacturing industry, Susan joined the philanthropic sector with the Colonial Foundation, one of Australia’s largest philanthropic foundations.
During project work with Cricket Victoria in 2005, Susan met Bennelong Group’s Chairman, Jeff Chapman, and commenced shortly thereafter with Bennelong Foundation as General Manager. Since 2005, the Foundation has increased grant making from $477,000 to over
$1 million in financial year 2007/08.
